I have always loved the translucent qualities of watercolor, it is so fresh and ethereal.
After I retired as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator, I decided to start painting in my favorite medium, watercolor...
and I've never looked back. Each new piece of watercolor paper is a story waiting to happen.
I started by taking lessons from Kay Barnes. She is a brilliant watercolorist and great teacher. I took from her for about a year. Since then, I have taken watercolor workshops from well known painters whenever I get the chance.
I belong to the Northwest Watercolor Society.
I have 3 children and 10 grandchildren, who provide me with great painting material!
My husband and I just moved to Camano Island, Washington in 2014. It is a wonderful, scenic art community. . .
